Easy to set up

I grabbed the Registration Add-on last week and it was pretty straightforward to get going. I just needed something simple to handle sign-ups for a small webinar, and it did exactly that. No weird settings or anything, just worked out of the box. Felt good to have that sorted quickly.

Consistent performance

I've been using WP Event Manager for a couple of years now, mostly with the Calendar and Recurring Events add-ons. I recently added the Emails Add-on. This experience was as smooth as previous ones; the purchase was quick, and the add-on integrated seamlessly with my existing setup. It's reliable, which is why I keep coming back for more add-ons as my needs grow.

Solid deal on the bundle

I was looking for an event plugin and almost went with another one, but the discount on the Agency Bundle caught my eye. It felt like a really good deal for all the add-ons included. For what I paid, it's definitely worth it. I compared prices for individual add-ons and the bundle saved me a good chunk of money. Glad I waited for a sale to make the purchase.

Bought the Personal Bundle. Licensing was clear. Installed without issues. Works as advertised. Good features for the price.

Comprehensive event solution

I purchased the Developer Bundle along with the Stripe Payment Gateway. The ordering process was simple enough, and the license keys landed in my inbox within a minute. Installation of the core plugin and all the add-ons went without a hitch on my staging site. I particularly like the Frontend Event Submission feature, which makes it easy for others to submit events directly. While setting up the Stripe gateway, I had a minor question about webhooks, but support clarified it quickly. The documentation was decent, but a bit more detail on some advanced configurations would be helpful. Overall, it's a powerful and flexible solution for managing events.

Thinking of switching from The Events Calendar to WP Event Manager. Worth it?

R RahulVerma 4 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
I switched and it's less bloated. TEC felt really heavy.

Same experience here.

K KiranMehta 4 weeks ago
That's my main complaint with TEC too.

V VarunSethi 4 weeks ago
Depends what features you use most. If you need super fancy stuff, TEC might still be better for some things. But for general event listings, WPEM is solid.

K KiranMehta 4 weeks ago
Mainly need registration and tickets.

G GauravSharma 4 weeks ago
WP Event Manager is much easier to customize if you're comfortable with a bit of code. The add-ons are pretty specific too.
5
P PoojaDesai 4 weeks ago
Are the add-ons cheaper than TEC's?
8
K KiranMehta 4 weeks ago
Good to know about customization.

Which WP Event Manager bundle should I get for a small church website?

R RajeshKumar 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
The Personal Bundle usually works for small stuff. It's got the basics.

V VikramReddy 1 month ago
Does Personal include recurring events?
4
A AnjaliSingh 1 month ago
Yeah, that's what I started with for my local club.
8
D DeepaRao 1 month ago
Check if you need the recurring events or registration add-ons specifically. Personal might be enough but those are usually extra.
7
P PriyaSharma 1 month ago
Good point. Recurring is a must for us.
0
S SanjayGupta 1 month ago
I think recurring is an add-on no matter what bundle.
4
A AmitPatel 1 month ago
Honestly, just use the free core plugin first. See what you actually need. Then you can upgrade or add specific add-ons.

N NehaJain 1 month ago
This is smart. Don't overbuy.

Thinking of moving from The Events Calendar to WP Event Manager. Does anyone have experience with both and can tell me if it's worth the switch, especially for virtual events?

N NikhilS 2 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
I made that switch a couple of years ago. WP Event Manager's Zoom Integration add-on is pretty solid for virtual stuff. Plus, the Frontend Event Submission was a game-changer for me. Much easier for my clients.

A Arjun 2 weeks ago
Good to know about the Zoom integration. Is it easy to set up?
3
N NikhilS 2 weeks ago
Yeah, pretty straightforward with their docs.
2
T Tina 2 weeks ago
Not sure it's 'better' but it has a free core version, so you can test it out before committing to add-ons. That's what I did.
3
A Arjun 2 weeks ago
That's a good point. Will definitely try the free version first.
4
G gamerraj 2 weeks ago
I've used both. For basic event listings, they're comparable. But if you need robust features like selling tickets or attendee information, WP Event Manager's add-ons are really good. The Embeddable Event Widget is super useful too.
6
G gamerraj 2 weeks ago
Yes, their WooCommerce Integration works smoothly.

Selling tickets is a big one for us. Does it integrate well with WooCommerce?

Wondering if anyone has experience with their refund policy? Bought a bundle once from another plugin dev and it was a nightmare to get my money back.

S Sam M. 2 months ago
I got a refund for an add-on I didn't end up using. It was pretty straightforward, just had to contact their support within the timeframe.

J Julia Torres 2 months ago
Yeah, returns were easy, did it last month. Just make sure you're within their specified refund period, I think it's like 30 days or something. Always good to check their site first though.

Just renewed my WP Event Manager license and the price jumped quite a bit. Anyone else notice this for their renewal?

A AmitM 1 month ago
I got a notification about my Developer Bundle renewal coming up and it did look higher than what I paid initially. Maybe the bundle discount was a first-year thing?
2
P PoojaR 1 month ago
Could be. Sometimes the intro price is much lower.

S Shalini 1 month ago
Mine was pretty consistent, but I only have the Calendar Add-on. Not a full bundle.
5
P PriyaS 1 month ago
Ah, that makes sense. Bundles probably have different pricing structures.
6
R Rahul87 1 month ago
Yeah, mine too! I had the Personal Bundle from last year and it felt like a significant increase. Wondering if I should've just bought a new one during a sale instead of renewing.
8
D Deepak91 1 month ago
Same. I thought there was a specific renewal discount but couldn't find it.

how does this compare to The Events Calendar plugin? I'm debating between the two for a new client site.

J Jared Brooks 2 months ago
WP Event Manager is much lighter, I found The Events Calendar to be a bit bloated. If you don't need a ton of super complex features, WPEM is great.
3
C Carly K. 2 months ago
I've used both. WPEM feels snappier and is easier to customize for basic events. TEC has more bells and whistles out of the box but can be a pain to style sometimes. Depends on what your client needs, really.

black friday deals usually any good for this plugin? trying to decide if i should wait.

C Chris 2 months ago
Definitely wait if you can! They usually have some solid discounts for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, often up to 40% off bundles.
4
N Neil 2 months ago
Yeah, they usually do like 20-30% off individual stuff and more for the bundles. If you're not in a rush, holding out until November is probably a good move.

Hey guys, thinking about getting WP Event Manager. Is the core plugin actually free or is that just like a trial thing?

N Neil 1 month ago
Yeah, the core is totally free. You only pay if you want the extra add-ons or bundles.
1
S Shane Silva 1 month ago
It's free to download and use. I've been running a small site with just the free version for ages, works pretty well for basic stuff. The paid add-ons are for more advanced features like selling tickets or recurring events.
